Strawberry Mizuna Green Smoothie

This morning we enjoyed a Strawberry Mizuna Green Smoothie.  It was so tasty!  Green smoothies can be made with any green, any fruit (barring melons, which should be consumed alone for optimum digestion).  The trick is finding the right amount of greens to fruit ratio for your palate.  We like ours really thick, green and healthy, so you can always decrease the amount of greens in yours until your used to it.  As far as I’m concerned, there isn’t a better, more healthy way to consume greens than in a green smoothie!

Strawberry Mizuna Green Smoothie

2 c packed mizuna greens

1 1/2 c water

12oz frozen strawberries

2 frozen bananas

Zip greens and water in a blender until almost smooth.  Add frozen fruit and blend until smooth and frothy.  (Some blenders might require the addition of a little bit more water in order to get everything moving and smooth)  Enjoy!

Spinach Mango Banana Smoothie

Breakfast this morning:

Spinach Mango Banana Smoothie

2 large handfuls fresh organic spinach
1 1/2 c water
12 oz frozen organic mango pieces
3 frozen organic bananas

Zip the spinach and water in a blender until broken down into tiny bits. Add in frozen fruit and blend until smooth.

I love enjoying a fresh green smoothie in the mornings! Nothing like starting the day with raw enzymes, delicious fruits, and healthful greens!

This recipe will make enough for me, my husband, and two small cups for my kids. We all love it! 🙂
